The Acolyte Guild

Whether
participating in the 11:00 A.M. Sunday worship service or special
festival services, our acolytes are always ready to serve with
enthusiasm and dedication. Acolytes are the glue that holds the service
together and allow it to flow smoothly. They assist our
Clergy in a variety of ways; bearing torches, carrying a processional
cross, carrying the Gospel, as well as receiving the offertory plates
from the congregation, ushering at communion and other important tasks.
Acolytes receive on-going training by the Acolyte Master and supportive
assistance from the other members of the team. We expect all
acolytes to help each other, keep a flexible attitude toward changes,
show responsibility about schedule and commitment, and serve God at His
table with attention and care. As they progress from
first-timers to accomplished leaders, our acolytes take to heart the
importance of liturgy and the joy of service in the life of our parish
community.
Saint Paul’s Church is a wonderful place to expand your life
experiences within a loving supportive community.
You can explore and learn more about your faith, have fun times with
friends and make new ones as well. Join us.
You’ll be proud you did.

Saint Paul's Church's Acolyte Guild Mission Statement
We assist the priests at God's Table and the congregation throughout the service. Leading by our example of dignity and reverence; thereby proclaiming the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ's Love.
Acolyte's Prayer
O God, our gracious Father:
Bless the Servers of your church that they may so serve before your earthly altar in reverence and holiness, that they may attain, with all your saints and angels,
the joy of serving you and worshipping you before your Heavenly Altar, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
