Baptism

One of the greatest joys that we share together in the Parish is Holy Baptism, the full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body, the church. In Baptism you are sealed by the Holy Spirit and marked as Christ’s own forever. All in attendance renew their own baptismal covenant and promise to support those who are baptized in their life in Christ. As such, the Sacrament of Baptism is generally celebrated in the context of the baptismal candidate’s ongoing relationship with the community of faith and within the Eucharist as the chief service on a Sunday or other feast.

Baptism is offered for children of all ages and adults throughout the year. Baptismal vows are made on behalf of infants or young children by their parents and sponsors. Older children and adults make their own promises. If you are interested in being included in one of these services, please contact a member of our clergy to discuss.

Once a date has been set, please complete a Baptism Registration Form and return it to the Parish Office. This form is used to complete the Baptism Certificate and accurately update the parish records.
